Rights and dreams - Flat to rent

As part of 'Garments of development' commissioned and exhibited at Turf Projects, this artist's book inspired by the white scaffold textile from buildings under construction. Pairing drawing and embroidery with footage from the train journey from home to work, some of the stills were taken from the video shown at the Turf's gallery space during 'The Forever Temporary' exhibition. The The 'Garments of development' project is rooted by the artist’s experience of living as a property guardian in London. It addresses the lack of housing access in a wealth accumulation global context and basic rights disparity, particularly for the migrant working class in the UK.
